Directions to Taste of Georgetown

The Taste of Georgetown is located at Wisconsin Avenue, NW, south of M Street in the heart of Georgetown. Be sure to check out all the available transportation options, including Metro, DC Circulator, and the Georgetown Metro Connection, to avoid traffic.


Take Metro Via Georgetown Metro Connection

The Metro Connection is FREE to event attendees on event day,Saturday, October 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Georgetown Metro Connection services the Rosslyn Metro Station (Orange and Blue lines) and Dupont Circle Metro Station (Red line). Buses leave every day, every 10 minutes.

From Rosslyn: Exit the Metro Station on the east side. Walk left to the end of the block (Intersection of North Moore and 19th Street).

Dupont Circle: Exit the Metro Station using the South exit. Cross the road and walk one block South on 19th Street (Intersection of 19th Street and Sunderland Place).

Driving There

Heading East from Virginia:

Take Route 66 East to Exit 73, Key Bridge. Continue over the Key Bridge and turn right onto M Street. You will enter Georgetown from the West side.

Heading West from Maryland:

Take Route 50 West until it turns into New York Ave. Keep on New York Ave until it turns into Mt. Vernon Place at 7th Street, NW. Bear right onto Massachusetts Ave. Bear right at Scott Circle. Turn right at Rhode Island Ave. Bear right at M Street. You will enter Georgetown from the East side.

Heading South from Maryland:

Take 95 south to the Capital Beltway. Bear right onto 495. Exit onto Route 66 East to exit 73, Key Bridge. Continue over the Key Bridge and turn right onto M street. You will enter Georgetown from the West side.

Heading North from Virginia:

Take 95 North to Route 395 North. Take exit 8B. Bear right at Washington Blvd. Take the George Washington Parkway North to the Key Bridge. Continue over the Key Bridge and turn right onto M street.


Biking There

The Washington Area Bicyclist Association will be providing free, secure bike parking throughout the event. The bike valet will be located at Wisconsin Avenue and Grace Street NW and will run from 11am to 4pm. Traffic Control Plan

Wisconsin Avenue, NW will be closed between Blues Alley and South Street on October 13, 2007, from 2 A.M. until 8 P.M. A 20-foot emergency lane will be available for emergency access only. Traffic will be rerouted onto 31st Street. Parking will be restricted on 31st Street, South Street and Wisconsin Avenue to increase lane width and offset additional traffic (if you use on-street parking in this area please contact the Georgetown BID for alternative parking opportunities).

The entrance and exit to the parking garage under The Shops at Georgetown will be accessible from Wisconsin Avenue.

Variable Message Signs will be placed at the intersection of Rock Creek Parkway and Whitehurst Freeway; in Rosslyn just prior to the Key Bridge; and on Wisconsin Avenue between Reservoir Road and R Street.

Detour Signs will be placed on Wisconsin Avenue between K and South Streets, and on 31st Street between Verizon Alley and South Street.

Complimentary rides will be given on the Georgetown Metro Connection to all attendees.
